HAPPY NATIONAL KISS A GINGER DAY!! It’s time to celebrate the holiday and the Launch of She’s Red Haute!  BITE Beauty products have taken over my makeup bag.  I felt it only right to celebrate this kissable holiday with a fantastic organic lip color.

BITE Beauty’s Matte Creme Lip Crayon has an incredibly smooth finish.  I hate when matte lipsticks have a “chapped lip” look.  This one is silky and the color lasts for hours.  I’ve been wearing the Aubergine hue lately and have been getting so many compliments.  The other thing I love about the product is that it is 100% natural and organic. LADIES!!! You NEED to go check out Billy shaving blades… IMMEDIATELY!  Why am I so excited?  They are creating inexpensive razors FOR WOMEN!  I am so tired of mail-in razor companies marketing to men then adding women on as an afterthought.  The cool thing is YOU are in control.  You get to pick the color of your blade and the frequency in which you need them.  There are four sleek color options.  I chose the coral color to match my hair.

The handle is very smooth but not slippery.  It also gives a great shave.  I have very sensitive skin and usually get a razor burn pretty fast.  The lotion around the blades gives a nice silky finish without being too goopy.  Definitely go check them out.  Their website is super fun, empowering and makes you feel proud to be a woman.

The 2 Minute Side Bun

Due to my busy schedule, I don’t always have time to make sure my hair is perfectly curled or straigtened.  Often times, I need a quick on-the-go up-do to keep my long tresses out of my face.  This hair look only takes TWO MINUTES!!

What you’ll need: Hairspray or boosting spray for texture (so the pins stay in and for volume), a hair tie, and some bobby pins.

First: Part your hair to one side. Roll the side that has more hair to just behind the ear and pin into place.  Then roll the other side from the front, to around the back of your head, meeting the end of the other roll behind your ear.

Combine and secure both to one side of your head behind your ear.  Then braid!

Wrap hair in circular motion around the hair tie, then pin into place.

Sometimes, I add Loreal’s Boost It spray to give my hair a little texture, then I tease it for added volume.  The more you tease, the larger your bun will be, which is great for more formal occasions.

I love the versatility of this look.  I have done this up-do for formal events as well as going to the gym to keep my hair out of my eyes.  Quick and easy.  Try it out!

Ginger Tea for Ginger Gals

While I sometimes like a good espresso, my go to hot drink is definitely hot tea.  This TAZO Green Ginger Tea is named for the gingers who drink it!  It’s rich with ginger, lemongrass, chamomile, and pears.

Aside from the subtle sweetness that the pears give the tea, all the ingredients benefit your health and wellness in so many ways.  Ginger, is an anti-inflamitory which aids in reducing muscle pain including menstrual cramps! Can I get an AMEN?!  In addition, lemongrass helps sooth the stomach and it is full of minerals and vitamins to help detox the body.

Small fact about me: I cannot stand being cold.  Yesterday it was 10 degrees… NOPE!  My extremities always get the coldest during these winter months.  I feel like most gloves, no matter how pretty, just never have enough warmth.  During the frigid weather, I rely on my Isotoner Fleece Gloves.
